Spinach Curry-పాలకూర పులుసు

Ingredients:
Fresh spinach-1 packet
Tomato-1small(Optional)
Onion-1 small
Green chillies-4
Chana dal-4tbsp(Soak in water for 15 mins)
Tamarind pulp-2tbsp
Turmeric-1/4tsp
Garlic cloves-4(Crushed lightly)
Salt to taste
Coriander powder-1tsp
Oil-1tbsp
Water-1/2cup
Jeera-1/4tsp
Dry red chillies-2
Hing- a pinch
Urad dal-1/2tsp
Curry leaves-1spring
Process:
Wash & clean the spinach and drain it.
Chop the spinach leaves finely.
Heat a pan add oil, when it is hot add jeera,mustard seeds,urad dal,curry leaves,a pinch of hing.
Now add chopped green chillies, crushed garlic & soaked chana dal,chopped onions and fry for 2mins.
Add chopped spinach & tomato and mix well.
Add turmeric, required salt, tamarind pulp,coriander powder and mix well fry for 2mins.
Now add 1/2 cup water to it and cover with lid, cook it for till curry becomes thick gravy.
Switch off the flame and serve with rice or rotis & chapathis.
