Cabbage Fry-క్యాబేజ్ వేపుడు
Ingredients:
Cabbage finely chopped-2cups
Onion-1small
Yellow moong dal-5tbsp
Grated Coconut-2tbsp
Grated Ginger-1/2tsp
Green Chillies-4(Slitted length wise)
Turmeric- a pinch
Salt to taste
For Popu-
Mustard Seeds-1/2tspn
Jeera-1/2tsp
Urad dal-1/2tsp
Channa dal-1/2 tsp
Dry red Chillies-2
Curry Leaves-1spring
Process:
First soak the moong dal in water for 15 minutes.
Heat a pan with oil, add mustard seeds, urad dhal, jeera allow it to crackle. Now add green chillies and dry red chillies and curry leaves, fry for a minute.
Add onions and grated ginger and sauted for 4minutes..
Now add the chopped cabbage & the soaked moong dal to this and mix it well .
Add turmeric powder & salt .
Mix well and sprinkle a handful of water to this and cook for 10 mins in medium flame.
When it is done, add the scrapped coconut and mix well. Switch off the flame.
Serve hot with plain rice and any gravy combination.
